Meet the Characters: Kyle Kane

Rep. Kyle Kane (D) represents the first congressional district of Minnesota in the U.S. House of Representatives, serving on the Education and Workforce Committee, where he has sponsored several initiatives improving education for all Americans. Congressman Kane is a proud member of the Congressional Equality Caucus. He has fought strongly for civil rights for all Americans, but particularly for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender communities.

Congressman Kane is a graduate of Riverside High School and the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. With his business partner, Sammy Cooper of Sirius North Entertainment, he developed the role-playing video game series, The Realmwalker Chronicles. The series was considered the first RPG series to allow players to specifically create an LGBTQ+ protagonist. He served a term in the Minnesota State Senate prior to his election to the House, where he is presently serving his fifth term. The Congressman is currently not seeking reelection, devoting more time to his family and charitable efforts with his friend, former NHL player, Vladimir Kostainov.
