Meet the Characters: Dimitri Kostainov

Dimitri Kostainov is the nine-year-old son of Vladimir Kostainov. His Papa nicknamed him “malen’kiy medved’” (or “little bear” in Russian). He is a fourth grader at Riverside Central Elementary; his favorite class is math but also enjoys language arts (since he is proudly bilingual, speaking English and Russian). Like his Papa, Dimitri also enjoys playing hockey. He isn’t sure what he wants to do when he grows up, but he is very happy
